This website sets no cookie, installs no tracker and does not measure its audience. The only data we hold is the data you voluntarily entrust to us by filling in a form.

No cookies and no trackers
This website was built so that nothing is collected without your knowledge. This is not a matter of intent but a technical choice written into the way the site is built — and one that anyone can verify by inspecting the network requests it issues when consulted.
As a result, merely consulting this website gives rise to no transfer of data to any third party and calls for no consent banner within the meaning of Article 82 of French Act No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended, known as the Informatique et Libertés Act, the French data protection statute.
All that remains are the connection logs kept by the website’s hosting provider — IP address, date and time of the request, page requested — recorded for the technical and security purposes incumbent upon it, and retained in accordance with its own legal obligations.
Data collected through the forms
The trade and contact forms gather only the information necessary to handle your request. Mandatory fields are identified as such; all others are optional. These forms collect data, but their submission is not yet connected.
No sensitive data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR is requested, and no data is purchased, rented or enriched from a third party. We carry out no profiling and no automated decision-making.
Purpose and legal basis
The information you enter is used exclusively to handle your commercial enquiry: to reply to you, prepare a quotation, arrange a tasting, examine a distribution or customization project, and follow up on our exchanges.
The handling of your request rests on steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract and on the legitimate interest of SEEM 808 in responding to the commercial enquiries addressed to it, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR.
Submission of the form is further subject to your explicit consent, obtained by means of a checkbox that is never pre-ticked, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. That consent is freely given and may be withdrawn at any time, without such withdrawal affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out beforehand.
Your data is used for no other purpose. It is neither sold, nor rented, nor transferred for advertising purposes.
Recipients
The data gathered through the forms is intended for the sales department of SEEM 808 alone, limited to what each member of staff needs to know in order to handle your request.
Where the request concerns the United States market, it is also communicated to Mr. Laurent R. Pedroni, representative of 808 and its designated agent with the Food and Drug Administration, in Miami Shores, Florida, who handles commercial follow-up in that territory.
Beyond these recipients, no disclosure to any third party takes place, save where required by law or by the formal request of a duly empowered authority.
Retention period
The data gathered through the forms is retained for three years from your last contact with us — standard practice in commercial prospecting, consistent with the recommendations of the CNIL, the French data protection authority. On expiry of that period, it is deleted or anonymized.
If your request gives rise to a business relationship, the data necessary to perform it is retained for the whole duration of that relationship, then archived in accordance with the statutory retention periods applicable to accounting and commercial records.
Server connection logs are retained by the hosting provider in accordance with its own legal obligations, in principle for one year.
Transfers outside the European Union
Data is processed in France by the sales department of SEEM 808.
One exception must be disclosed in full transparency: where your request concerns the United States market, the information necessary to handle it is passed to our United States representative, established in Florida. That transmission constitutes a transfer of data outside the European Union.
This transfer is limited to the data strictly necessary to handle your request and falls within the framework of the appropriate safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR, in particular the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. Should you prefer your request to be handled exclusively in France, simply say so in your message.
Your rights
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Informatique et Libertés Act, you have the following rights over your data.
These rights are exercised by email to
commandes@808water.fr, or by mail addressed to SEEM 808, ZAC du Carreau de la Mine, 13590 Meyreuil, France. Please state the subject of your request; proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt as to your identity. We reply within one month of receiving the request, a period that may be extended by two months for a complex request, in which case you will be informed.
Complaint to the CNIL
If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), the French data protection authority.
Amendments to this policy
This policy may be amended to reflect a change in the website, in our processing operations or in the applicable regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. We encourage you to consult it regularly.
